Pink Day was held at the Chaucer Technology School and consisted of Yr 9,10 and 11 girls from both Chaucer and Canterbury High.

They came together for a full packed day of activities which would result in a leadership qualification. They took part in many tasks that would help develop their leadership skills. For example, they got the chance to create their own activity in small groups with just a limited amount of equipment. The rules were, it had to be an activity that scored points and everyone in the group had to be doing something at the same time.

The girls came up with some really good ideas and took turns to demonstrate it and then complete a circuit of each others activities.

There were also some non practical activities to get them thinking about what leadership is and what makes a good leader. For example, one task was they had to write down a good role model onto a sticky note and then put it on the person's forehead next to them. They had to then take it in turns to ask questions to the rest of the group to find out who the person is that they have on their sticky note.

All the girls really enjoyed the day and have developed their leadership further.
