Wth rain in the morning it didn't look too promising, but that soon cleared away to leave bright sunshine for the competiton It was a great turn out of schools and good to see lots of supporters.

All boys and girls took part in track and field events which consisted of, standing long jump, standing triple jump, speed bounce, hammer, shot, javelin, 70m, 150m, 600m 4x50m and mixed medley relay.

There were some great performances throughout the afternoon and the highlight must have been in the boys 70m when a reculver pupil ran 10secs exactly.

Overall it was quite a close competition but in the end only one team came out on top.

In 1st place was Briary, in 2nd place was Kent College and the winners were Herne Bay Juniors which was great as the P.E teacher Mr Lucas was retiring this year and so this was his last competiton.

A big thankyou goes to Pete and Claire Le Rossignol who organised the whole event and wouldn't have happened witout them. Also to the SSCo Amy Cavanagh and her group of Chaucer Sports Leaders who did a great job ensuring the events ran smoothly.

And lastly a big thankyou and well done to all the schools that took part. You all displayed some great performances in both the field and on the track!
